Regifting Etiquette 141 views

Hi, how was your feeling about the last gift you got during Christmas. I hope you liked it and will keep it for lifetime. But we all know that we don’t live in perfect world, and maybe part of you received a gift you didn’t want and decided to give it to somebody else, is it alright? There are many opinions about regifting, one say it’s okay others say you shouldn’t do that. But in my humble opinion it’s definitely ok to re-gift, beside can save money it’s absolutely can eliminate the need of credit counseling in this tight economy situation because you don’t have to spent anything except the gift wrap.

But you have to follow the etiquette. One of the main rules is that you don’t re-gift something that you couldn’t find in the stores today, it means the gift is so special. And you should not re-gift clothes even though you think it’s tacky. Items those are safe to be re-gifted includes electronics, music, appliances, and anything entertaining. What about gift cards, as long as it doesn’t have your name on it, then you can give it to somebody else that you know would love it. The main principle in re-gifting: always use your common sense and don’t hurt people’s heart, they should be happy with the gift they receive.
